WINNIE CHEUNG
For over twenty years Winnie L. Cheung has been engaged in building bridges and understanding across cultures.
A published writer, art lover and an intercultural educator, she is keen to create platforms and spaces for people
to explore the cultural richness of an inclusive society.
At the University of British Columbia, she has helped raise awareness of the heritage and contributions of
Asian Canadians. Currently, she is championing the Pacific Canada Family History Research and Resource Centre ("FHRRC") --
an initiative that addresses a long-standing deficit in Canada the absence in our archives and libraries of significant materials
concerning Canada's Asian immigrants.
