Celebrate Asian Heritage Month in Richmond  
Richmond residents can celebrate our multicultural community this May by taking part in Asian Heritage Month activities  
In Richmond and across the country, the Government of Canada has designated the month of May as Asian Heritage Month. 
Together the City and community groups will celebrate Pan-Asian arts and culture and explore Asian heritage and traditions. 

Like Light off Water

Order of Canada winning poet Daphne Marlatt  reads passages from her work 'Steveston' 
with music performed and composed by Robert Minden and Carla Hallett.

A verbal and musical exploration of Steveston and the Frazer River which also explores the history 
and experiences of the village's Japanese Canadian Community. 

The performance will be inspired by the famous original 1974 collection of poetry and photographs.
