In collaboration with explorASIAN and NUR: Light - The Essence

In conjunction with the exhibition NUR, World Poetry explores the essence of light through poetry, music, 
art and dance in this celebration of six years of celebrating Asian Heritage Month.

Inspired by Light? 
In collaboration with the exhibition NUR: Light - The Essence, World Poetry presents a Create a Poem space 
in the exhibition from 2-5 pm on weekdays and 1-4 pm on weekends. 

World Poetry volunteers will be on hand to support your muse and get you writing. 

Selected local poets will be contacted to read their poems at the World Poetry Extravaganza on May 25.

Featured poets and performers include: 
·	Bong Ja Ahn, South Korea, (World Poetry Lifetime Achievement Award Winner 2009) launches her new book Letter from the Sea 
·	Renowned Korean masked dance Chang Hyun Han 
·	Aly Sunderji an Indo-Canadian poet who explores the themes of light. 
·	Musician Mayo Landicho, originally from the Philippines, singing in English and Tagalog 
·	Yeh-fan Wang, a well respected poet in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 
·	Philippine poet Cora Salvador 
·	Plus Poetry by you! Selected work by poets of all ages inspired by light and created in the exhibition will be read.
